The leader of the Lithuanian band "Funky", Beata, is on vacation in Brazil with his boyfriend, Gleyton Barbosa, an ex-football player who is now a sport manager. Beata and Gleyton will spend time in Brazil until the end of April.
After that they will travel to Lithuania, where Beata is going to start the recording of the songs for the new album with her band. The new album will be coming out in the autumn, and it will be the 13th album of FUNKY. Most of the songs will be covers in Russian. FUNKY has recorded songs in Lithuanian and Russian, and also in Polish and English. Having in mind the relationship between Beata and Gleyton, songs in Portuguese can also be expected in the future.

On the 25th of May, FUNKY will give a concert in Warsaw, Poland, in one of the best clubs of the capital: LUCID. In the «Russian Dance Mix» party, the group will perform its best hits in several languages. The party is boosted by the king of the dancefloors, DJ Coolman, and the guests can enjoy the Crazy Russian (100 ml of vodka and pickled cucumber).

FUNKY had a very successful concert at the London club "RADUGA" the 24th of March. The public was both Lithuanian and Russian, and it sang along through all the group's hits. After the concert it was possible for the public to conversate with the group in the informal surroundings of the club. Most of the listeners used this chance to say hello to FUNKY.
The former member of the group, Remis, who now lives and works in London, also was in the public. He came to listen the concert with his wife Tatjana, who will give birth to his daughter this summer.
Beata, Rytis, Laurynas and the manager of the group, Jurij, will cherish great memories of the club and the public, and also of the new contacts, meetings with old and new friends.
FUNKY would like to thank to Max and Kotryna for the warm welcome in London.

The 24th of March FUNKY will perform in London at the opening ceremony of a new club, RADUGA. This new club orients its services to the Lithuanian and Russian speaking public. It plans to organize various concerts and therefore invite stars performing in Russian and Lithuanian languages. The first invited group is FUNKY, which will sing its most famous hits in both languages. So don't forget - the meeting point for all the friends in London will be the new club RADUGA, the 24th of March!

The 3rd of March, FUNKY has been invited to the first 5 year anniversary gala of the First Music Channel (www.one.by), which transmits its programs from Minsk, Belarus. In the main Belarussian square, the group will perform its best songs, which already are very well known to the Belarussian audience. In this grandious concert the audience will also hear performances from various Belarussian and Russian stars.

People know them in Russia, their songs are played in Poland, Belarus and other countries, their reach the first positions in radio charts also in Lithuania. FUNKY, one of the most well-established and famous groups in the Lithuanian pop scene is releasing a new album: "Tarp krentanciu zvaigzdziu" ("In the middle of falling stars").
The 15 tracks which can be found on this album have been performed in Lithuanian, Russian and English. The listeners will be hearing such radio and club hits as "Musu dienos" (Our days), "Tarp krentanciu zvaigzdziu" ("In the middle of falling stars"), "Mazylis (Remix)", ("Baby Boy"), "Moriachka" ("Sailor woman") - a fantastic remake of Oleg Gazmanov's hit, and the song which became a cult hit - "Komarovo".
The new FUNKY album "Tarp krentanciu zvaigzdziu" is for sale from the 23rd of November in the Lithuanian shops.

FUNKY has finished the recording sessions of their new, 12th album, which will be released in Lithuania in November.
Fans will be pleased to find more than 10 songs in Lithuanian and Russian in the album. Included will be both famous hits, which have been played all the time at the radio stations, and also a surprise song! Famous Russian singer and composer Oleg Gazmanov gave FUNKY his permission to remake one of his biggest hits "Moriachka" (The sailor woman), which will be on radioplay really soon - this time sung by FUNKY.
In 2001 Oleg Gazmanov also gave FUNKY his song "Mne ne nravitsia dozhd" (I don't like rain) as a present!

When most of the groups are on their summer tours, FUNKY managed to find some time for a new photo session! This time the group selected a nice photo studio in the centre of Kaunas, and the group was very happy with the results! The theme for the session was the play of white and black colours. Beata wore a black dress, and the guys standing next to him were wearing white suits. Jurij Gimaletdinov, the manager of FUNKY, found the group looking like happy "gangsters". The photographer Darius Tarela did his job outstandingly!
The new FUNKY album will be released soon. The album will include songs in Lithuanian, Russian and English. The touch of the album will be summery!
